ABOUT US
OUR HISTORY & VISION
St. Vincent de Paul was a French Roman Catholic priest who dedicated himself to serving the poor in the 17th century. His works became the foundation for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul which began in France in 1833. The Society spread throughout Europe and eventually came to St. Louis in the United States in 1845. The Society is now active in over 159 countries throughout the world.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Trussville was established in January 2012. Since our inception, we have been able to assist over 1,000 families on behalf of our donors. This has only been possible due to the overwhelming support of our parish family.

WHAT WE DO
As a group of Catholic volunteers who are committed to living out the ministry of Jesus, our primary goal is to grow spiritually while offering person-to-person service to those in need.
We seek to assist our neighbors in need with utility bills, food, or rent, as we have the financial resources to do so. Our service area includes Trussville, Center Point, Roebuck, East Lake, Pinson, Tarrant, Argo, and Springville, and areas of Birmingham east of I-65 and north of I-20.

OUR COMMUNITY
The personal ministry of each Vincentian is to grow in holiness by putting their faith into action. Time is dedicated at each meeting to examining and discussing our faith as it relates to our personal service.
Vincentians feel a bond to one another and to the neighbors we serve. There are many roles to fill in St. Vincent de Paul, including fundraising, membership, spiritual development, disaster relief, visiting those in need or even developing a new ministry to help serve our neighbors.
