OUR HISTORY & VISION
Our conference at Holy Infant in Trussville was established in January 2012. Since our inception, we have been able to assist over 500 families on behalf of our donors. This has only been possible due to the overwhelming support of our parish family.
Our primary goal is to grow spiritually and to offer person-to-person service to those in need. Poverty comes in many forms and “no act of charity is foreign to our society”.
WHAT WE DO
The HIOP Conference is currently involved in three areas helping those in need. Our ministries are Camp Joseph, focused on youth development, Apostolate to the Elderly & Homebound serving those that are less mobile in our society and our largest effort, helping those in need in the surrounding area through financial assistance and referrals.
The personal ministry of each Vincentian is to grow in holiness by putting their faith into action. Time is dedicated at each meeting to examining and discussing our faith as it relates to our personal service. Vincentians feel a bond to one another and to the neighbors we serve. There are many roles to fill in St. Vincent de Paul, including fundraising, membership, spiritual development, disaster relief, visiting those in need or even developing a new ministry to help serve our neighbors.
